• White Solar Powered Shade — The room darkening shade utilizes a double-pleated honeycomb structure with an interior aluminum coating to block even the brightest sunlight, making it ideal for bedrooms, entertainment rooms or any other space where light control is important. By helping prevent thermal heat gain, skylight shades can improve the energy efficiency of your skylights by up to 40% compared to skylights without shades.
• Control & Accessories — VELUX VS manual “Fresh Air” skylights include an insect screen and hook which can be turned using a ZCT 300 telescoping control rod (sold separately) or you can purchase a ZZZ 201 crank handle if your VS skylight will be installed within reach.
• Materials & Construction — Consists of a wood frame, insulated glass, maintenance-free aluminum exterior cladding, and deck seal mounting flange.
• Condensation Management — Integrated gaskets allow condensation to drain to the outside rather than into your home.
• Warranty & Installation — Eligible for the VELUX 10-year installation warranty when installed with appropriate VELUX flashing kit (sold separately) on a roof with a pitch between 14-85 degrees.
• Flashing & Roof Compatibility — Use EDL flashing on a shingle, shake, or slate roof, EDW flashing on a tile roof, or EDM flashing on a metal roof.
