Lucas #9500 Single-Ply is a one-component, non-shrink polyurethane sealant engineered for sealing seams, pitch pockets, and joints on single-ply roofs. This advanced technology sealant works across metal seams, fasteners, inlaid gutters, polyurethane foam, PVC, and EPDM roofs—and it can even be used on TPO roofs when primed with Lucas #8015. It’s compatible with Lucas water-based acrylic coatings and is ideal for hail-damaged polyurethane foam roofs.

Key Features & Design

  • One-component, non-shrink polyurethane sealant designed for the construction of liquid flashing systems and sealing pitch pockets and pans, metal roof seams & fasteners, inlaid gutters, polyurethane foam, PVC and EPDM roofs. It may also be used on TPO roofs when primed with Lucas #8015. Lucas #9500 is compatible with Lucas water-based acrylic coatings.
  • Semi-self-leveling formulation lets you seal seams and perform repairs on single-ply membranes at any slope with minimal tooling.
  • Wide substrate compatibility adheres to metal, PVC, primed TPO, EPDM and smooth surfaced asphalt and modified bitumen roofs. For best adhesion, wipe the roof surface with Lucas #5025 to remove surface contamination.
  • TPO adhesion requires Lucas #8015 clear TPO Primer for adhesion to new and aged TPO.
  • Versatile applications suitable for sealing gutters, metal roof seams & fasteners, filling pitch pockets and pans; can be used with Lucas PolyPans and metal pitch pockets to create pans of various sizes and shapes.
  • Performance operating range from -40°F to +200°F.
  • Application notes Remove or cut spout and puncture foil seal. Unused material can be saved by sealing the tip with tape or plastic film. Allow 24 hours before coating with Lucas water-based acrylic coatings.
  • Preparation It is recommended that the roof surface be wiped clean with Lucas #5025 to dramatically improve adhesion of the sealer to metal, PVC, primed TPO, EPDM and smooth surfaced asphalt and modified bitumen roofs.
  • Storage & shelf life Shelf life: two years from the date of manufacture. Store in a cool dry place. High temperatures and high humidity during storage will shorten the product’s shelf life.
