• Material: Ceramic (AL203)Tile Front with a Hardened Layered Polyethylene Backing — a lightweight, multi-hit capable combination.
• Protection Level: Tested to NIJ Level IV standards, capable of stopping armor-piercing rounds up to 30-06 Black Tip Caliber, and calibers below it including 5.56,.223, 7.62x39.
• Weight & Comfort: Lightweight ceramic plates with a curved contour for comfort during wear; SAPI shooters cut in the corners to enhance functionality.
• Plate Sizes: XS-Small 8x10 (3/4 Inch thick); Small to Large 10x12 (3/4 Inch thick); Extra Large 10x13.5" (3/4 Inch thick).
• Sizing & Fit: Plates and Recon 2.0 Carrier are for SIZE XS to SMALL for the Front and Back, designed for smaller-sized wearers (see sizing chart below).
• Options: Choose a full Kit with two 8x10 Level IV Ceramic plates and the Recon 2.0 Carrier together, or buy the 8x10 plates without the carrier. It’s also available as a package deal with the Recon 2.0 8x10 Plate Carrier.
• Shipping & Legal: Shipping to all US States except New York and Connecticut, which require that you be law enforcement, security, first responders, or other qualified professions to purchase. Due to ITAR regulations, we cannot ship armor outside the US. If you need this for private contracting work or protection abroad, ship to a Continental US address and complete Homeland Security FORM 4457 to apply for the Certificate of Registration for Personal Effects Taken Abroad. We do not ship armor to PO Boxes.
