Introduction

Recessed Light Cover Solid is a fire-retardant light cover designed to allow the installer to insulate safely and effectively around recessed lights and other heat producing fixtures. Available in all sizes, this cover helps keep insulation away from hot fixtures without sacrificing light quality.

• Made from corrugated cardboard and is treated with a fire-retardant coating.
• Weight: Approximately 1 lb. per piece.
• Manufactured vented and non-vented (per users preference).
• Allows insulation to be applied around and on top of fixtures.
• Easy installation — simply insert the cover into the recessed light fixture and secure it in place.
• Compatible with all types of insulation.
• Fire-retardant.
• Applicable to IC-rated lights to prevent shut-off feature when overheated.
• Applicable to non IC-rated lights in accordance with fixture manufacturers’ instructions/guidelines.
• Can be painted to match your ceiling or wall color. We recommend using a paint that is safe for use on plastics.
• Not designed for use in damp or wet locations. It should only be used in dry locations.
• Not made from recycled materials. However, it is recyclable and can be disposed of in accordance with your local recycling guidelines.
