Key Features & Design

• Manual venting option: The Manual Venting skylights are recommended for installations in fairly easy to reach locations where it can be opened with the provided crank or SZS Control Rod (sold separately). An insect screen, installed as standard, protects from mosquitoes and other insects, so the skylight can be left ajar also during dry summer nights.
• Solar powered option: The solar powered venting skylights are autonomous which do not require connection to the mains. Energy generated by photovoltaic panel is stored by an integrated battery. Its “warm” frame design incorporates low-E glazing with toughened panes, and a system of perimeter seals. Solar Operated by a mechanism in the bottom part of the frame, the unique system of hinges guarantees both durability and functionality. While providing natural light their venting feature brings in a fresh air. FVS residential skylights are equipped with rain sensors which are not active when the skylight is closed and are activated with a few seconds delay only after opening the skylight.
• Energy efficiency & materials: The thick wooden frame and Low-E glazing allows your homes efficiency to increase and save energy. UV resistant cladding made from coated aluminum for a longer performance. Double lacquered, pressure-treated frame is made of hand selected pine wood. Additional perimeter gasket underneath the frame for increased insulation. Internal gasket system to collect any condensation water and drain it outside. Double seal between the frame and the sash. Class 3 corrosion-resistant hinges.
• Installation & warranty: Easy bracket-free installation fit for a 1 man job. Suitable for roof pitches between 15° - 85°. Qualifies for a 10-year leak-proof skylight installation warranty when installed with the Fakro flashing kit (sold separately).
